Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging opens its 11th location in Southern Nevada

Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging (SDMI) opened its newest outpatient radiology facility in the heart of Summerlin on April 17,2023.

SDMI is excited to be a part of a new medical building at10040 Alta Drive at the corner of Alta and Hualapai. This location will provide increased access to world-class imaging and a more convenient location for Summerlin residents. The new site offers MRI, CT, 3D Mammography, and Ultrasound.

SDMI offers superior state-of-the-art medical diagnostic imaging services. Our experienced professionals utilize the latest medical equipment and technology to provide accurate and reliable diagnostic tests for various medical conditions. Our commitment to diagnostic medicine means that we prioritize the safety and comfort of our patients, and we strive to provide personalized care tailored to each individual's needs.

MRI
SDMI Summerlin features a 1.5T and 3.0T MRI from GE Healthcare. These wide-bore system scanners provide an optimized experience that delivers more comfort and less anxiety for patients, all while offering high-definition results and a wide range of applications to meet the needs of clinical providers.

This new scanner, the SIGNA™ Pioneer from GE Healthcare, was designed with contemporary architecture that delivers superior image quality and intelligent design to decrease exam times.

CT
An 80-slice CT Scanner from Cannon, the Aquilion Prime SP, is installed, allowing SDMI Summerlin to offer a full scope of CT capabilities, including cardiac studies, sometimes called CTA or CT Coronary. With new diagnostic capabilities, the Aquilion Prime SP is our CT system for your imaging needs.

3D Mammography

Since2016 SDMI has committed to installing only 3D Mammography or Tomosynthesis. The new Summerlin Medical location is no exception getting the latest rendition from GE Healthcare, the Senographe Pristina.

Studies report that nearly 40% of women do not schedule annual mammograms. SDMI is committed to continuing to educate patients on the importance of Mammography. The Pristina offers patient comfort and design advancements, changing the patient's exam experience. Built to ease patient anxiety, the Pristina promotes a sense of calm.

With its sophisticated lighting and rounded shape, patients can relax and remain steady with a well-positioned headrest and soft armrest.

For physicians, the Senographe Pristina provides exceptional images without additional radiation exposure to patients while delivering sharp and detailed pictures for breast cancer detection and diagnosis.

Ultrasound

An ultrasound scan, or sonogram, is a procedure that uses high-frequency soundwaves to create an image of part of the inside of the body, such as the heart. SDMI has all-new 3D technology in our Ultrasound department, with Superb Microvascular Imaging, vastly improving visualization of tiny vessels.

Since sound waves are used rather than radiation, the procedure is extremely safe. Ultrasound scans are commonly used during pregnancy to produce images of the baby in the womb. Still, they can also be used to detect heart problems, examine other parts of the body, such as the liver, kidneys, and abdomen and help guide a doctor in performing some types of biopsy.
