Insurance Verification Specialist - NW Administration locationCoordinate insurance information for scheduled exams for patients using excellent customer service skillsHeavy interaction with patients, physicians and other staff to provide accurate, timely and responsive informationCoordinate processes and route all insurance paperwork as required to meet physician and facility requirementsDemonstrate courtesy, helpfulness and optimal customer service toward patients and their families

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 1 year experience verifying insurance for a busy medical facility and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes and medical terminology
  • Knowledge of contracted insurance plans and procedures
  • Basic typing and keyboarding skills
  • Proven time management/organizational skills and ability to work in stressful environment
  • Experience with customer service and multi-line phones
