Mammography Technologist

The Per Diem Mammography Technologist performs mammograms under the direction of the Radiologist, Lead Tech, Chief Tech or Technical Director. May perform other job related duties for the efficient operation of SDMI.MINIMUM SKILLS, ABILITY AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Be A.R.R.T. registered and certified in mammography with at least one year experience.
• A.R.R.T. with advanced mammography specific training as required by the State of Nevada and M.S.Q.A.
• Will submit a copy of any and all current licenses and/or certificates to the Technical Director.
• Skill in organizing time to accommodate changes in workload and assignments in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Awareness of responsibility to protect patient information.
• Must know fire and evacuation plan and electrical safety.
• Comply with Universal Protection standards.
• Willingly participates in cross-training activities within the department for own professional growth in order to contribute to the overall function of SDMI.
• Assume responsibility for updating knowledge of current SDMI department policies and procedures, protocol and practices.
• Take full responsibility for all functions within job description and assures that all functions are completed before leaving SDMI at the end of the shift.
• Skill in organizing time to accommodate changes in workload and assignments in order to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Skill to pay attention to details and accuracy in completing tasks.
• Communicates effectively when follow up is needed.
